Keeping cichlids together with stingrays

I recently bought a couple stingrays from Orinoco - Colombia. I think that it must be P. orbignyi. The rays disc size is +- 20 cm ; is it save to put peaceful cichlids (Geophagus and Krobia (looks like Aequidens) with a size of 10 - 12 cm together with them, or will they be an easy snack ??? The aquarium is 300 x 70 x 50, with lots of wood on the sides.
